Black Book

Paul Verhoeven's triumphant return to European film making. This BAFTA nominated World War drama features a sweeping orchestral score by Anne.

In the dying days of the war, Rachel, attempting an escape from occupied Holland, witnesses the slaughter of her entire family. Concluding that they have been betrayed she joins the Resistance and infiltrates Nazi HQ.

The plot twists and turns...

Anne says: "Paul Verhoeven was a joy to work with. We discussed themes and developments whilst sitting round the piano in an agreeably old-fashioned way. Key to the thematic character was a theme for Rachel – resilient and unbowed. We recorded the orchestra at the wonderful Angel Studios in London"
