The Hustle

Anne composed the score for this witty and wicked re-make of "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" with Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson taking the roles of Michael Caine and Steve Martin. Chris Addison directed this adventure set in the South of France - it exudes good humour and fun.

Anne says:  "My score takes as its starting point the music of "The Hot Club of France" in a nod to the original "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels". I've always found this sound both irrepressively happy and somehow a bit louche. The driving energy of the guitar rhythms coupled with some sophisticated harmonies represent the contrasting characters of Penny (Rebel) and Josephine (Anne) without the score being overbearingly "comic"."
