Trial and Retribution 

A stylish series from the La Plante production house. Anne scored episodes XV to XIX (The Fifth Collection), each 2 hours in length. DCIs Connor(Victoria Smurfit) and Walker(David Hayman) continue their mutual one- upmanship in solving a series of brutal murders. Locations vary from a Hackney housing estate to an upmarket hotel on Park Lane. Anne has combined live musicians with electronics to evoke an atmosphere of disquiet. The music was nominated for an Ivor Novello award in 2009.

Anne says:  "The instrumentation combines electronics, pulsing rhythms and a small string group. The strings add immeasurably to the intensity and emotion - and there's plenty of that in the plots"
